Our Story
Rachel
I am a qualified Property Lawyer and member of the Council of Licensed Conveyancers (CLC). With over 16 years experience I have a real passion for helping people achieve their move. I originally trained in Hong Kong as an executive secretary as I believed that no matter what career path I chose it was a skill that would always be in demand. The biggest lesson I learnt whilst working in such a diverse country was how to be respectful to each and every one, no matter their background or status.
Having obtained a diploma I started a career in Hotel Management for a small family run firm that took over boutique hotels all over Asia. The training I was given was exceptional and I quickly learnt that managing expectations became a top priority for our customer base.
My conveyancing career began in 2001 when back in the UK and I gained extensive knowledge both through large corporate business models and smaller private practice firms. I have not looked back since and thoroughly enjoy the interaction with clients at key times in their life. Sixteen years later I still use the same principles of providing a quality service while at the same time managing what is realistic for everyone involved.
Communication is at the heart of what we do, because whether you are a first time buyer, a property developer, a retired person looking to go into a retirement flat or dealing with estates after losing a loved one, the process is the same. I understand that and you need to be reassured throughout the whole process and that we are working with you to reach your goal.
Having a young family and juggling a working life can be challenging at times, however I find it extremely rewarding and look forward to helping you whatever stage you are at with your move.
Martin
It is over 30 years ago now that I negotiated my first property sale and instructed solicitors to act on the transaction
In the career that has followed I experienced the highs and lows of the property market with various bubbles and recessions. I have experienced all kinds of situations in the home moving process both professionally and personally. I think it’s important to relate to these when helping others faced with a similar need or desire to move.
Luck has played its part too, when I was made redundant from a job in what was known as a ‘Dot Com’ business. It was in 2001 that I took a position in starting a conveyancing business that has grown rapidly over the years to become the largest in the UK. After 5 years I then moved on to a new challenge when the Government decided to introduce Home Information Packs which it subsequently scrapped a short time after. They say experience tells and you can be sure I have used all of mine to bring together all the ingredients that I know people value at what can be a stressful time.
I am a keen sports fan and enjoy supporting our youngest son at football and rugby. Our youngest daughter is a keen budding actress- watch out for her name at the BAFTA s in the future!
We are a true family business with family values solely owned and operated. My aim is to marry the very best advances made in technology with the very best of good old fashioned face to face customer service. I believe you deserve the best of both worlds.
I trust that our principles of quality, value for money and common sense help you achieve a successful move .
